Kwame has been writing and playing songs for a very long time and the delicate beauty of the compositions refelect the amount of thought and experience that has gone into them. Coming from a punk background (his first band was with Justin Sane from Anti-Flag), his songs maintain a razor sharp edge despite the shimmering resonance that is present throughout. As a frontman for the band SplendorBin, he has recorded with Steve Albini and shared the stage with the likes of Archers Of Loaf, Pere Ubu, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and U.S. Maple to name a few. It’s an eclectic group of artists to be certain, which is indicative of how difficult the material is to categorize. For the last two years he has been perfecting his craft as a solo singer-songwriter in New York City. Currently, he is working on material for his next release scheduled to be recorded this winter.
